NLCC Advancement Requirements:

The NLCC Training Syllabus is the source document for NLCC cadets. The syllabus contains activities and
exams required for advancement.  Cadet must score a 2.5 or high on exams to pass based on one of the 25
question exams provided after completion of each practical factor part.

During the summer NLCC Orientation and NLCC Advanced Training is available for cadets to attend to
augment the syllabus. Although this training is available it is
NOT a requirement for advancement.

There are three tables listed below.
  1. The first table indicates the rate structure for NLCC cadets LC-1 (Recruit)  through  SLPO (Ship's
    Leading Petty Officer).
  2. The second table indicates cadet petty officer allowance.  Normally, units may not exceed the numbers
indicated for each rank/rate.  As a cadet, you can assist by recruiting new cadets into your unit so your
advancement is not held back due to not enough cadets in your training ship or company.
  3. The third table indicates the overall score you will receive based on taking one of the NLCC 25 question
    advancement exam from each part.
